2008 LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

Chicago, Illinois
June 5 - 8, 2008

Our Spouses Program began Friday with a visit to the  Skydeck at the Sears Tower. The view was magnificent and the “photo ops” beyond compare. It was a little windy up there on the 110th floor but not enough to deter us. Our next stop was the Chicago Board of Trade. It was very exciting and interesting observing the “pit” and actually seeing the traders work. They are amazing! We boarded our coach and had a mini city tour of some of Chicago's top attractions – our guide Jeannie was so informative. The tour concluded at Millennium Park. Our luncheon was served in the Park Grill and then we had a  walking tour of this beautiful park. The architecture, sculpture and landscape design of the park are unbelievable. It has won acclaim from around the world and we could certainly see why! Finally, a stop at Oprah’s famous gift shop - It wouldn't be Chicago without a stop there.

Our Spouses program on Saturday morning was an Architectural Cruise down the Chicago River winding through the metropolis. It was a perfect way to end our program. The weather was ideal and once again, the guide was very informative.

As always, I enjoyed the camaraderie of our group most of all. Thank you to all who were able to participate and I am looking forward to seeing you at our next program.
